Why do you teach at SPINCO?
I love being part of this amazing SPINCO team! From the moment our riders walk through the front door of our studio, they know that we are here to help them achieve their goals. It means so much to me to know that I can be an integral part of inspiring each rider to work toward a personal accomplishment.
What motivates you to jump on the bike every class?
The music, the movements, and most of all – the riders! I love the energy and enthusiasm within the room as we ride together — one team, one bike!
What do you want your riders to get/feel from your class?
As soon as that first beat drops, I want my riders to feel the music and let it guide them through a 50-minute riding experience like no other. We let go of whatever is outside of the SPINCO doors and focus on getting stronger and building confidence. I want my riders to know that while each ride is their own personal journey, we’re riding together, and I’ll be right there with them the whole way!
What is your favorite song to ride to?
I still get chills every time “THE WARRIOR” plays, whether on my own playlist on another instructor’s. I totally let loose with this track…I let go of whatever I’m carrying or holding on to. It pushes me out of my comfort zone every single time, as it reminds me to get out of my own way and not let anything hold me back! “Stay strong, hold on, we can fight this thing together…” Every song tells a story, and the lyrics throughout this entire song are incredibly inspiring.
What is your favorite type of music to ride to?
The variety of tracks within our SPINCO playlists keeps my energy high and makes me feel like I’m having a dance party on my bike! I love riding to trance but also love riding to ‘90’s retro or current Top 40 hits. That’s part of the amazing experience of riding at SPINCO…you never know where or to what point of your life the music will take you!
